What’s in your water supply? Most water supplies contain dissolved minerals such as chlorine and aluminum, as well as sediment that can leave a residual smell and taste in the water. In municipal water supply, there can also be Trihalomethane (THM’s) present, THM’s form as a result of water having been treated with chlorine where levels of organic matter were present. THM’s will be harmful if consumed. If you get your water from other than municipal supply, your water may also contain parasitic cysts such as Giardia and Cryptosporidium.
Microlene System These Microlene 3 Way Mixer and High Flow Filtration Systems provide an attractive WaterMarked 3 Way Mixer along with a 1 micron filtration system. All the plumbing connections required are included for a standard installation. The 3 in 1 Mixer provides hot, cold and filtered water all from the one tap. There is absolutely no mixing of filtered and unfiltered water. The Mixer has a Chrome finish. The system incorporates a 1 Micron fine filtration Cartridge providing clean tasting drinking water.
Microlene Cartridge Design The 5 Stage, 1 micron water filtration process reduces bad taste and odour, chemicals (such as chlorine), sediment and Trihalomethane (THM’s) whilst leaving all vital minerals in the water supply. Cartridge design incorporates water softening beads for treating scaling and hard water. The cartridge protects and removes up to 99.9% of harmful cysts like Giardia and Cryptosporidium. The cartridge design provides toolless installation and replacement. Simply turn off the cold water supply, drain the water from the line (by turning on the filter tap), then twist and remove, or insert and twist to install. Designed for both rain water supply and mains water supply. If using for rain water / harvested water applications, pre treatment may be required such as sediment reduction and UV to remove bacteria and harmful viruses. The Cartridge is designed to purify up to 65,000 litres of water. Recommended replacement every 6 months or if flow is significantly reduced or, taste and odour is detected when drinking the water. The filtration system is easy to install, the cartridge and mounting head can be mounted vertically or horizontally allowing versatility for install spaces.
